Their peace was shattered when Luke's father broke down one night and told him that he had to be careful because something evil was after him, it wanted to destroy his family. Â Soon afterward, Luke learned he had a little sister named Daya and so they started their new life in town together. They soon realized that none of their neighbors really knew what happened to them or where they came from. Â The family gets attacked by a group of men who want to kill them, but only Luke escapes. The next day, Daya's snooping around in his family's house makes her stumble upon something hidden underneath the floor. Â What will happen next? Â "Days Of Tafree 2" is the sequel to "Days Of Tafree", which was produced in 2006. It was officially released on September 10, 2007 by Viva Films International Inc.. The film features three songs performed by Filipino singers, Daniel Padilla, Iyah and Nikki Gil. The official trailer for the movie was released on September 10. It was also released before the film debuted in theaters.. Let's start with the negatives first. The story was bland, to say the least. Some of its elements (like Daya's backstory) were interesting but could've been explored more deeply or even brought up in a different way. The pacing felt off, too; it could've used better editing. The characters themselves were very underdeveloped, which is understandable considering this is really meant to be a standalone movie (I haven't watched the prequel). Their lack of depth made it hard for me to really care about what happened to them. The dialogues were straight-to-the-point but some of the lines delivered had this whiny tone, which just added to my dislike. Lastly, I didn't like that they tried to cram this mystery plot into the movie right at the end. It wasn't properly explained and felt forced. With that said, let's move on to what I liked about it. I have to admit that I really liked the performances of the three main characters, even though they were very inconsistent with each other. Daya was actually not a bad little girl. She was just too whiny and annoying most of the time. But it is true that this is a standalone movie so she's okay in comparison to some other female characters in this genre. Unlike the others, I did not mind her character at all, mostly because my dislike for her was purely based on my feelings towards her actress, who played her role perfectly, acting with perfect timing and delivery despite being limited by a simplistic script. eccc085e13
